Numerology and Baby Gender Prediction

Numerology and Baby Gender Prediction

Will you get a boy or a girl?

Yeah, you are pregnant! ... Or maybe someone you know is pregnant and you want to find out if it is a boy or a girl. There are many ways to predict the baby gender. I have listed many ways of predicting the baby's gender below.
1. Chinese Gender Predictor
Recently, a Chinese scientist discovered this chart which was buried in a royal tomb about 700 years ago. The original is kept in the Institute of Science of Peking. The accuracy of the chart has been proven by thousands of people and is believed to be 99% accurate!
This old Chinese Gender Predictor chart can, for many, fairly accurately determine if you are getting a girl or a boy. It takes into account how old the mother is at conception (when she got pregnant), and when the baby is due.

Below, first find the age of mother at conception, and then look for the due date to find the gender of the baby.

This chart was found buried in a Royal Tomb near Beijing, China by the Chinese scientists about 700 years ago.
You can choose to get a boy or a girl by the chart. The woman's age from 18 to 45 years is mentioned in horizontal columns while the months when the baby is conceived. i.e. when the pregnancy starts, are indicated in the vertical columns. X stands for male and O for female. For instance if the woman is 25 years old and her baby is conceived January (according to Chinese Lunar Calendar) then the baby will be a girl.
The original copy of this chart is kept in the institute of science in Beijing. The accuracy of the chart has been proved by thousands of people and it is believed to be 99% accurate.

General Tips

1. Science says :- The gender of your baby is determined by whether the fertilizing sperm has an X or a Y chromosome. An X chromosome will lead to a girl, a Y to a boy. Somehow depends on timing of making love. According to Shettles:

X-bearing Sperm

survive longer in the cervical environment.
are slower than their Y-bearing counterparts.

Y-bearing Sperm

are faster and smaller than their X-bearing counterparts.
are not as hearty and die more quickly.

So you should have sex 2-3 days before ovulation to conceive a girl.

2. Fetal heart rate of your baby is that above 140 is a girl and below is a boy.

3. Stress Factor : The more the external environment is stressful (natural disasters, war, etc...), the more likely it is to conceive baby girls instead of baby boys (Tenzer, 2004).

4. University of Kent in England has shown that mothers who are optimistic about the lengths of their lives are more likely to give birth to a boy.

5. Weight Gain: If your husband gains weight, you will be having a girl. If he doesn't gain weight, you'll be having a boy.

6. Craving salty foods while pregnant, you can count on having a boy. If you crave sweets, fruit, and orange juice, you are having a little girl.

7. Body Change: If your baby is low and all out in front, then you are having a boy. If you carry your baby higher and you got wider with the pregnancy, then you are having a girl.

8. If you have morning sickness that seems to last all day long and last for longer than your first trimester, then you are having a girl.

9. Some indicators of a girl are: round face, acne breakouts, the woman looks worse than she did when not pregnant, and her chest grows dramatically. Some supposed indicators that the baby will be a boy are: hair grows faster on the legs, her nose widens, feet are colder during pregnancy, and you have not had a dramatic growth spurt in the chest area.

10. The Mayan tale adds the mothers age at conception and the year of conception. If the result is a even number then mom is having a girl. If the result is an odd number then a boy is on the way!

11. Sibling's Order:
You can find out the sex by going off of your mother's delivery order. If you are the first born, you will have what your mother had but starting with her second child.
If you are the middle child, you will have what she had, but starting with the third child.
If you are the last child, you will have what your mother had in the exact order.
Confusing.. :)

12. The person that is most aggressive(over powering) in bed at the time of conception is the opposite of what the baby will be.

13. Toddlers:
If a toddler boy expresses interest in a pregnant woman, she is having a girl. If he doesn't show interest, she’s having a boy.

14. If your pee is bright yellow, you will have a little boy. If your urine is a dull yellow, plan on a girl.

15. It is said that when you can only think of specific names for a boy or a girl, you will have that particularly baby.

Can you really choose the sex of your baby?
For as long as we've been making babies, women have been exchanging ideas about how to increase their chances of having either a boy or a girl. Unfortunately there's no medical evidence that any of them actually work!

Having said that, there'll always be a mum who tells you an old wives' tale worked for her. So if you fancy defying the experts and trying to tip the balance towards one sex yourself, why not try some of the suggestions below.

Eat a Boyish Diet
Some gender-predicting “experts” claim that following a specific diet for a few weeks before conceiving could increase your chances of having a boy. They say that switching your diet changes the pH balance in your body, which some believe contributes to the sex of your baby.
According to this theory, your daily “boy producing” menu should be packed with plenty of salty foods, red meats, eggs, peas, raisins, zucchini, mushrooms, beans, sweet corn, bread, and fish. This diet also recommends you avoid acidic foods in quest of a more alkaline (less acidic) environment for the boy-bearing sperm to thrive. (An alkalizing diet, in fact, doesn’t necessarily shun acidic foods. For more, read The pH Diet and Your Fertility.) As with all the other advice dished out in this article, you should take this suggestion with a grain of salt … and an extra dash or two if you’re trying for a boy.
Also, a recent study suggests that maintaining higher levels of glucose—which means sustaining a high intake of food throughout the day—will increase your chances of having a little boy. Consume a wide range of nutrients such as potassium, calcium, and vitamins C, E, and B12. Breakfast, is particularly important, so never skip!
Take Your Position
Another popular school of thought says that certain sexual positions can improve your odds of having a boy. In ancient times, beliefs abounded about the positions that would lead to male offspring, such as having intercourse with your heads pointing north or having the would-be mother sleep on the left. Discoveries in science over the centuries have led to somewhat more complex theories about positioning (and a lot else). For one thing, we now know for sure it’s the male who determines the sex of a child. The mother always provides an X chromosome in the egg; the father contributes either an X chromosome (yielding XX = girl) or a Y chromosome (yielding XY = boy). Each individual spermatozoa carries either X or Y and the baby’s sex depends on which one penetrates the egg most effectively first.
According to Dr. Landrum Shettles, MD, author of How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby, deeper penetration during intercourse seems to favor boys.
He explains that a woman’s vagina is most acidic near the entrance, and—as mentioned before—some evidence suggests male sperm don’t fare well in acidic environments. Shettles says deeper penetration puts sperm closer to the egg, reducing the distance the sperm have to travel through the acidic vagina. This gives faster-swimming Y-chromosome (male) sperm a head start over the X-chromosome (female) sperm. Therefore, he recommends rear-entry intercourse for couples who want a boy. (Do I really have to clarify “rear-entry”? OK, fine … he’s talking about “doggy-style,” people. There, I wrote it.)
Get the Timing Right
Other medical experts also believe that Y sperm (boys) swim faster than X sperm (girls). However, girl sperm typically are more robust and live longer in the reproductive tract than the boy sperm.
So what does this theory mean to you? In a nutshell, if you’re hoping for a boy you should try to abstain from sex for several days before ovulation and then have intercourse as close to ovulation as possible. This increases the likelihood that the boy sperm (the faster swimmers) will beat out the girl sperm to the egg, and not have to survive too long while waiting around for the egg to show up. You’ll have to do some very careful calendar watching or take an ovulation test to determine precisely when you’re ovulating.
Boxers or Briefs?
Sperm are stored “outside” the body for a reason. They can’t tolerate excessive heat and the testicles’ independent structure and considerable surface area keep them safe from the elevated core temperatures inside the body. Some people claim that Y-chromosome sperm (boys) are even less tolerant of heat than X-chromosome sperm. So, if you’re trying for a boy, ask your mate to wear boxers for a while. This will keep things cool and give his “boys” some breathing room.
A cool bath or an ice pack to the scrotum would take matters further, but it’s probably a rare male who would be that keen on producing a son.
Crank up the Coffee-Maker
Based on his research, Dr. Shettles says that you’re more likely to conceive a boy if your man drinks a strong cup of caffeinated coffee just before intercourse. Why does this work? Shettles says he’s not sure—but if anything, it will give your mate a little extra energy boost for the deed!
The jury’s not unanimous on whether caffeine for women trying to get pregnant is such a good idea, so you might want to opt for decaf while he goes high-test.
Down Some Cough Syrup
Some people claim that if a woman takes a dose of cough syrup a couple of hours before intercourse, she’s more likely to have a boy. Supporters of this theory say that the medicine works by thinning the cervical mucous (just as it thins respiratory mucous when you have a cough), making conditions more favorable for sperm, especially those fast Y swimmers. The key ingredient that makes this work is guaifenesin, so if you’re going that route, look for a product that contains it.
Make It Quick
During my research, I spoke with two different mothers who each have one girl and one boy. They both said pretty much the same thing in so many words: To conceive a boy, you should have unplanned, unromantic intercourse.
“Our son was conceived on my husband’s lunch break from work,” says Casey in Birmingham. “No soft music, no candles—just a wham-bam, thank you ma’am, and get back to work.”
Holly from Atlanta gives similar advice. “If you want a boy, your drunken husband should attack you on the living room floor on a random weeknight,” she says, laughing. “You should also have no idea where you are in your monthly cycle. That’s how we conceived our son.”
“Basically, a boy can be conceived with little time, absolutely zero romance, and the high possibility that you could get caught in the act,” Casey puts it simply.
Pay the Big Bucks
If you’re absolutely desperate to have a boy, you could try just shelling out $20,000. Scientists have discovered a way to ensure that you’ll have a girl or boy through in vitro fertilization (IVF)—where the egg and sperm first meet in the laboratory, not your body. The procedure is a complex medical one that carries a hefty price tag and that couples generally only opt for when all other avenues to conception have been unsuccessfully attempted.
Many people consider this kind of sex selection to be immoral and unnatural and, indeed, some physicians will not test for the embryo’s sex before implanting it. Then again, the moral issue is not a common one so far, as most couples can’t afford this much green just to get the baby’s nursery painted blue.
Adoption is another route where you can be assured of your child’s sex. Barring these last two approaches, all you can do is try, hope that fate (er, make that biology) gives you what you want, and love the result regardless.

1.    You're more likely to conceive a boy if...
  1. You have sex on the day of ovulation, as male sperm are thought to swim faster and reach the egg first.
  2. You reach orgasm before your partner, as this releases an alkaline fluid, thought to be more male-sperm friendly than the vagina's natural acidity.
  3. You have deep penetration during sex, such as from behind (doggie-style).
  4. Your partner has a high sperm count. This is because male sperm are not as strong as female sperm, and so the higher the count, the more chance there is of a male sperm reaching the egg first.
  5. You avoid sex for a week before ovulation and then only have sex once on ovulation day, to keep the sperm count high.
  6. Your partner suggested the love-making.
  7. You make love at night.
  8. You make love on odd days of the month.
  9. Your partner keeps his genitals cool by wearing boxer shorts and loose-fitting trousers.
  10. You eat salty food, plenty of meat, fish, white flour, pasta, fresh fruit, certain vegetables, but avoid milk and dairy products, such as yoghurt and cheese, nuts, chocolate, shellfish and wholemeal bread.
12.               You're more likely to conceive a girl if...
  1. You have sex earlier on in your cycle, a few days before your day of ovulation. This is because female sperm are thought to be stronger and therefore last longer than male sperm, who will die off before reaching the egg.
  2. Your partner reaches orgasm before you.
  3. You have sex frequently to lower your partner's sperm count, and so increase the chances of the female sperm reaching the egg first.
  4. You keep penetration shallow.
  5. You stop having unprotected sex four to five days before ovulation, to minimise the chances of the male sperm reaching the egg first.
  6. Your partner keeps his genitals warm by wearing close-fitting underwear and tight trousers (although this isn't likely to do his general fertility any good!)
  7. You suggested the love-making.
  8. You make love in the afternoon.
  9. You make love on even days of the month.
  10. You put a wooden spoon under your bed and a pink ribbon under your pillow.
  11. You drink plenty of milk and eat dairy products such as cheese and yoghurt, unsalted foods, rice, pasta, certain vegetables, mineral water, limited amounts of meat and potatoes, but avoid salt and any salty foods, wine and beer, fresh fruit, spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms, chocolate, coffee and tea.
  12. 1.   The astro energy of your baby’s conception date is the first time astrology plays a part in your child’s journey. If you’re in baby-making mode and have a preference for a boy or a girl, using the male or female energy of the Moon on your fertile days can help.

Each zodiac sign is said to be either masculine or feminine. Masculine or feminine qualities are a bit like yin or yang. Generally, yang/masculine signs are more outgoing and extroverted than yin/feminine signs, which are typically shy and introverted.

The Moon is the closest heavenly body to Earth, and for hundreds of years has been considered the planet most closely connected to physical health and the body. The Moon’s monthly cycle shows changes in fertility levels, depending on whether the Moon is waxing or waning. The Moon’s sign on any given day reveals either a masculine or feminine energy.

When the Moon is in a yang sign, you are said to have a better chance of conceiving a boy. When the Moon is in a yin sign, chances are you’ll conceive a girl.

The Moon takes 28 days to move through the zodiac, spending about 2.5 days in each sign. Review the Moon sign (yang/masculine signs  AND yin/ feminine sign) and mark out the days the Moon is in signs linked to the preferred sex of the child you’re trying to create -- and see if it works for you!

Twelve Myths About Pregnancy
(Article by :Robert H. Shmerling, M.D., is associate physician at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and associate professor at Harvard Medical School.)

Pregnancy is a unique time with unique challenges. It's understandable to want to do all you can to deliver a healthy baby. But how do you decide what's best? Your own health care professionals can be an important resource, but what about things you read or hear between visits? You may not want to be calling your doctor to double-check everything.
Even for those things for which there's no answer, one thing's for sure: You'll get advice about it. No matter how popular, advice that is clearly wrong is worth ignoring.. As expected, the number of opinions about what pregnant women should and should not do was exceeded only by the confidence placed in these rules and prohibitions. Here's a sampling of what I heard: the list of myths below:
1. You can determine your baby’s gender by the position of sexual intercourse and you can predict it by how you are carrying.
The gender of your baby is determined by the father. More specifically, if sperm carrying an X-chromosome fertilizes the egg, the baby will be a girl and if the sperm carrying a Y-chromosome fertilizes the egg, a boy will result. The position of intercourse has no reliable effect on which type of sperm (X or Y) successfully fertilizes the egg.
The baby's size and position determine how one "carries" their baby. For example, during late pregnancy, the baby's head "drops" lower into the pelvis in preparation for delivery. That will make it seem as if the mother is carrying "low," but that happens for male and female babies. A mother-to-be may be carrying "high" simply because the baby is large, not because of its gender.
2. The worse the morning sickness, the more likely it is you’re having a girl.
Most experts believe this is truly a myth. However, several studies have found that among women with morning sickness severe enough to require admission to the hospital, slightly more than half (53% to 56%) delivered girls. So perhaps there is some truth to this idea. Then again, even among those with the worst morning sickness, the male and female offspring were nearly 50-50 and whether this applies to milder cases is unknown.
No one knows exactly why morning sickness (also known as hyperemesis gravidarum) occurs, though it has long been thought to relate to elevated hormone levels, including progesterone, estrogen and/or human chorionic gonadotropin, or HCG. Which hormone, if any of these, is most important, remains a matter of speculation, and several other theories have been proposed such as zinc deficiency, low blood sugar, genetic factors and psychological factors. At least one study found that women carrying a female fetus had higher HCG levels than with a male fetus. If true, that could explain the connection.
3. If you raise your arms above your head while pregnant (as when you are hanging up clothes on a clothesline), the baby will get the cord wrapped around its neck.
Up to 25% of fetuses have the umbilical cord wrapped around the neck. It's the baby’s activity in the womb and, perhaps, bad luck, not the mother’s activities during pregnancy that determine whether the cord is wrapped around the baby’s neck. Another important risk factor is a long umbilical cord, but, again, that may have more to do with fetal activity and is not something a pregnant woman can prevent. The good news is that nearly all of these babies develop normally and are successfully delivered.
4. If you get a lot of heartburn during pregnancy, your baby will have a lot of hair.
Heartburn is common during pregnancy because, as the stomach is pushed higher by the growing baby and the expanding uterus, it becomes easier for acid to move backwards (or "reflux") from the stomach into the lower esophagus. Acid is irritating to the esophagus and causes the discomfort we know as heartburn. Remaining upright after eating, sleeping with the head of the bed at a slight elevation, and antacid medications (many of which are considered safe during pregnancy) can be helpful. Check with your obstetrician before taking any medications during pregnancy, including over-the-counter remedies.
5. Avoid sleeping on your back or, always sleep on your left side.
During the later stages of pregnancy, the uterus and baby may be large enough to press on the large vein, the inferior vena cava, and reduce flow of blood from the lower body (and uterus) back to the heart. But this tends to matter only in certain circumstances such as prolonged labor, if blood pressure is high, if the kidneys are not functioning properly, or if there is a problem with fetal development. In those situations, lying on the left side may be somewhat helpful, but for normal, healthy women in the midst of a routine, successful pregnancy, the best position for sleeping is the one that's most comfortable.
6. To keep your unborn child safe, avoid sex and exercise during pregnancy.
Within the bounds of common sense, there is no recommendation to avoid exercise or sex during pregnancy. The baby is protected in the uterus so that sex is unlikely to cause problems. Similarly, moderate exercise is not prohibited during pregnancy, and is often recommended. Because excessive body heat can be harmful to a developing fetus, exercising in hot weather should be avoided. And if your pregnancy is complicated by bleeding, pre-term labor or other problems, your obstetrician may recommend that you avoid sex as well as certain exercises.
7. You should not touch your cat while pregnant.
This myth is close to the truth but still untrue. Recommendations regarding cats during pregnancy are due to concerns about toxoplasmosis, a parasite that can cause serious infections in humans and deformities in the developing fetus. Infection can follow the handling of cat litter because it can be found in the stool of cats. So pregnant women are advised not to handle cat litter. However, no other activities are prohibited — feeding or petting your cat and allowing it to sit in your lap are considered perfectly acceptable while pregnant, especially if your cat has been tested for toxoplasmosis. The risk of getting toxoplasmosis from your cat is quite low if your cat has tested negative for this parasite or is an indoor cat that eats only store-bought canned or dry food.
8. If you are pregnant, you cannot have X-rays and should avoid microwaves and computer terminals.
While unnecessary radiation exposure should generally be avoided while pregnant, if there is a good reason for a chest X-ray (for example), the amount of radiation exposure to the fetus is minimal — in fact, according to some experts, you might receive a similar amount of radiation by taking several commercial airplane flights (due to cosmic radiation from the sun and other stars). There is no evidence that modern microwave ovens or computer terminals expose women or their fetuses to harmful radiation.
9. Don’t take a bath if you’re pregnant.
Apparently, concerns about contracting an infection that could spread from the vagina, through the cervix, into the womb led to recommendations to avoid bathing. However, there is no well-established risk known to be associated with bathing during pregnancy. The water should not be too hot, since raising body temperature above 101 degrees F may cause problems. And there may be times to avoid bathing altogether, for example, if your water has broken or there is bleeding.
10. If the weather is stormy or the moon is full, you are more likely to go into labor, even if you are weeks away from your due date.
While believers may never be convinced otherwise, studies have demonstrated no increased incidence of labor based on the weather or the phase of the moon. Never mind the fact that even if this were true, there’s nothing you could do about it! In fact, labor is triggered by a complex series of hormonal signals with no known connection to atmospheric conditions or the weather.
11. Avoid spicy foods — they can trigger labor before you’re ready.
As above, scientific evidence suggests that labor is triggered by biological signals, some of which are well understood while others remain uncertain. For a routine pregnancy, as long as you eat a well-balanced diet, there is no evidence that what you eat has any effect on your delivery date.
12. Avoid bumpy car rides — they can trigger labor (or being bumped in the abdomen can trigger labor, or lifting groceries).
Minor bumps, taps and jolts, as in a bumpy (but “on-road”) car ride is highly unlikely to trigger labor. The uterus and surrounding fluid provide ample cushioning and protection from minor trauma. Of course, major injury, as in a car accident or a fall, may complicate pregnancy, including inducing pre-term labor.
The Bottom Line
You may hear these myths or others during your pregnancy, or you may even be the one disseminating these well-meaning but misguided warnings. Understand that there may be some elements of truth to some of these. For example, certain types of cat exposure may increase the risk of toxoplasmosis, and you might be slightly more likely to have a girl if your morning sickness is severe. For most routine pregnancies, however, they can be safely ignored. Proving that a theory is true can be difficult, but disproving a myth can be impossible. Many of these have been ingrained in our culture and passed down through generations. If you read or hear something that concerns you about your pregnancy, talk with your doctor about it, especially if it contradicts something he or she recommended before.
There are only a few things known to matter in a routine pregnancy, above and beyond common sense. One need not live in fear of causing harm to your developing fetus for nine months, especially when the vast majority of routine pregnancies produce normal, healthy babies.
